This 5-day expanded course provides you with a solid groundwork in the principles of simulation with ExtendSim 7 and then sharpens your simulation skills by putting them to use in practical and realistic modeling situations. In this course you not only learn to use the most popular and affordable simulation software available but you also gain the proficiency necessary for designing and building real-life models.
The first 3 days of this class covers all the topics from our Fundamentals of Simulation Using ExtendSim course. You will build models in stepped exercises from the ground up, concentrating all the while on good modeling techniques. In building the class examples, you will gain a broad exposure to blocks from the Item, Value, Plotter, Animation 2D-3D, and Utilities libraries. In the last 2 days you will learn to use advanced features of ExtendSim and discover how to leverage the powerful data managing tools included with the software. Using a case study approach, you will complete a simulation project from start to finish. This class concentrates heavily on showing you how to use data efficiently in your models. You will learn valuable techniques for debugging, validating data, capturing model output, experimenting with the model, and analyzing data appropriately.
While building the case study model, you will encounter classic issues common to simulation projects.
